A phone system first
Aircall describes itself as an AI-powered customer communications platform for sales and support teams. Its core is a cloud phone system: numbers, IVR, queues, ring groups, callbacks and recording, all configured without code and connected to more than 250 business tools. Many companies run sales and support on the same Aircall account, and that's where it's strongest.
GrowOutly is built around outbound selling. The power dialer and parallel dialer sit next to a built-in CRM, lead scraping, registry checks, SMS and email sequences. It also handles inbound with routing and call forwarding, but Aircall is the more complete phone system for a large support team.
Seat minimums and the real entry price
Aircall prices per license: $30 on Essentials and $50 on Professional, billed annually, with a three-license minimum on every plan. The power dialer, voicemail drop, local presence and the Salesforce integration all start on Professional. A three-person outbound team that needs the dialer is therefore looking at $150 a month on an annual plan, with unlimited US and Canada calling and one number included.
GrowOutly Pro is $319 a month for three users, billed monthly. That covers both dialers, two numbers, 680 calling minutes, 500 texts, 1,000 emails, the CRM and the compliance checks. For a team that needs only phones and already pays for a CRM, Aircall costs less. If you'd otherwise add a CRM and a list source, the totals get much closer. And for a solo rep, the three-seat minimum means paying for two empty seats, while GrowOutly's Base plan is built for one user.
Dialing for outbound
Aircall's power dialer calls one number after another from a browser extension. That suits reps who want a controlled, personal pace. Aircall's published materials don't describe a parallel or predictive mode.
GrowOutly's parallel dialer rings up to three leads for a rep who is already on the line and connects whoever answers first. On cold lists where most calls go unanswered, that's the main way to get more conversations per hour. Our explainer on power and predictive dialers covers when each pacing mode makes sense.
Compliance and trust
Aircall signs every US and Canadian domestic call with STIR/SHAKEN, offers branded caller ID per call, and can play a recording announcement before outbound calls. It holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, among other certifications. Its do-not-call tool is a blocklist you maintain. Aircall's terms make the customer solely responsible for consent and calling laws.
GrowOutly checks national DNC, state DNC and known TCPA litigators before every call and text, which a blocklist doesn't do. On either platform, consent records remain your responsibility. Our TCPA compliance checklist lists what to keep.
